Final Event – ODIN Innovations in Action

The Final Event of the ODIN project marked a major milestone, celebrating almost four years of research, collaboration, and deployment of cutting-edge technologies across European hospitals. The event provided a dynamic platform for attendees to explore groundbreaking health technology innovations, discover real-world implementations in smart hospitals, and engage with key leaders from the healthcare ecosystem.

Below is an overview of the main sessions from the agenda — a full journey through ODIN’s achievements and legacy.

1. Welcoming Session: ODIN Project Introduction

The event was inaugurated with institutional welcoming remarks from representatives of the Madrid Region and members of the ODIN coordination team.

2. ODIN Innovations in Action

This central session brought ODIN’s solutions to life. Led by Alejandro Medrano, ODIN Platform Manager at UPM, it featured video demonstrations and presentations from pilot sites across Europe, showcasing how ODIN technologies addressed five critical healthcare challenges:

  • Challenge 01: Logistics – Locating and transporting resources efficiently

  • Challenge 02: Patient Care – Monitoring and end-to-end tracking of clinical processes

  • Challenge 03: Support for Diagnosis – Leveraging AI to assist clinical decisions

  • Challenge 04: Support for Treatment – Enhancing treatment through intelligent systems

  • Challenge 05: Disaster Preparedness – Strengthening hospital resilience

The session concluded with a roundtable involving key implementation and technical leaders:
